Pre-Fall 2011: Chanel

Erdem

"People think floral is my trademark—even though some of my shows didn't have a flower in sight," Erdem Moralioglu. To prove his point, out came a dress in a "firecracker" print inspired by English skies on Guy Fawkes Day:

Chanel

The season's theme, Paris-Byzance, Lagerfeld explained, was inspired by the Empress Theodora and the lost culture of Byzantium. "Theodora was a circus artist who became empress, like Chanel, who was a little singer and became a fashion empress." Featuring beautiful suiting meticulously decked out in gold chains, braiding, jeweled buttons, feathers, and fringe. (style.com)

  2. I am really impressed with the Erdem collection. It's not cutting edge like Balenciaga or Balmain but it is certainly very well designed & cut. Great to see promising talents confirming!
